This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you may not do with Letter. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses the Service. We keep this list plain so the boundaries are clear.
You must not use Letter to
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk mail, or evade spam filters, rate limits or blocklists.
- Send phishing, spoofed, fraudulent or deceptive messages, or impersonate any person or organisation.
- Distribute malware, viruses, ransomware or other harmful code.
- Harass, threaten, defame or incite violence against others.
- Share, store or transmit child sexual abuse material. We have zero tolerance and report such material to the authorities and NCMEC.
- Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or share unlawful content.
- Attempt to breach, probe or disrupt the security of Letter or any other system, or gain unauthorised access to accounts or data.
- Run high-volume automated activity that degrades the Service for others.
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law, including anti-spam laws such as the US CAN-SPAM Act.
Enforcement
Breaking this policy may lead to warnings, rate limiting, suspension, or termination of your account, and where appropriate we may notify or cooperate with law enforcement. We aim to act proportionately, but serious abuse (such as phishing or malware) may be actioned immediately and without notice.
